Why We Made a 261-Page Book That Says One Word

EW began with an intentionally ridiculous question: what happens when one tiny reaction is treated with the seriousness and physical scale of a novel?

The joke is the commitment

The premise only works if the project commits to it. Repetition becomes funny because the reader expects a conventional novel and instead encounters the same compact expression again and again.

The book as object

The physical size of a book creates part of the comedy. A single everyday word occupies the space normally reserved for a much larger narrative.

Why it belongs in the Archive

EW connects absurdist literature, conceptual comedy and the tradition of the novelty book.
